Workshop Supply started this business in 1985, originally operating under the name Steve's Shop, our goal was to bring the special hardware and wood parts, those used by furniture manufacturers and professional crafters, available to the public. The cabinetmaker I had worked for, and in fact anyone I knew tinkering at woodworking and crafts, had a hard time finding certain items. If they did find them, the cost and often the quantity they had to buy was ridiculous.
